The NEW Orange OR60 Blew Us Away (NAMM 2026) | First Demo
Thinking About Guitar heads to the Orange booth at NAMM 2026 for a first listen to the new UK-built Orange OR60, demo’d by Nick Jennison alongside Orange Technical Director Ade Emsley. With an OR-30-style front end, switchable plate voltage for feel and response changes, Presence and Resonance power-stage shaping, dual footswitchable master volumes and a three-position Bright switch, the OR60 is built for stage punch and studio control.
Take a first listen to the new Orange OR60 at NAMM, demo’d by Nick Jennison alongside Orange Amplification’s lead amp designer and Technical Director, Ade Emsley at the Orange booth. UK-built and inspired by the classic tones we’ve come to expect from the UK amp brand, the OR60 pairs an OR-30-style front end with a powerful output stage designed for touch sensitivity, punch, and that addictive “bounce” you get from a loud 4×12 cab.
A key highlight is the OR60’s switchable plate voltage option—more than a simple volume cut, it changes the feel and response under your fingers. Dial in tighter punch and authority at higher voltage, or flip to the lower-voltage mode for a more compressed, “browner” top end that leans further into a Class A-style vibe.
You’ll also hear how the Presence and Resonance controls shape the power stage and speaker interaction (negative feedback), letting you move from smooth, singing lead tones to aggressive bite—without harshness. Add two footswitchable master volumes for instant level changes plus a three-position Bright switch (especially handy at lower gain and for pedal platform use), and the OR60 looks built for both stage and studio.
Orange OR60 Features • Orange OR60 (UK-built) • Switchable plate voltage (feel/response shift) • Presence + Resonance (power-stage shaping) • Dual footswitchable master volumes • 3-position Bright switch
