Bloodstock 2027 reveals first 27 bands, with Mercyful Fate, Electric Callboy and Motionless In White headlining

Bloodstock has revealed the first 27 bands for its 2027 edition, confirming Mercyful Fate, Electric Callboy and Motionless In White as the three Ronnie James Dio main stage headliners.

The festival will return to Catton Park in Derbyshire from 5–8 August 2027, with the first wave of names announced during Bloodstock 2026.

Mercyful Fate will headline the main stage on Friday, marking another appearance at Bloodstock for the Danish metal band.

King Diamond said: “Mercyful Fate is honored and looking extremely forward to playing BLOODSTOCK again, last time was awesome, and this time with a brand new album out, FINALLY!!!”

Saturday’s main stage headline slot will go to Electric Callboy, who will make their first Bloodstock appearance.

The band said: “Our first ever Bloodstock. Heavy music, questionable outfits, and thousands of metalheads? Sounds like a Perfect fit to us. We’re in. See you there!”

Motionless In White will close the Ronnie James Dio stage on Sunday, also making their debut as Bloodstock headliners.

Chris Motionless said: “Bloodstock! We were told that we are one of the most requested bands to perform at your legendary festival, so it is with great honor to announce that we are answering the call and will be seeing you next year for our first ever European festival headlining show, and only U.K. show of 2027! Thank you so much! Let the countdown begin.”

The Sophie Lancaster stage headliners have also been confirmed. Madball will headline on Thursday, followed by Gaerea on Friday and Kanonenfieber on Saturday. Dethklok will take the final Sunday slot and are scheduled to be the last band of the festival.

Bloodstock has also named the special guests for each day of the Ronnie James Dio stage. Acid Bath will take that position on Friday, Green Lung on Saturday and Children of Bodom on Sunday.

The wider first announcement includes DevilDriver, Corrosion of Conformity, Imminence, Wind Rose, Sylosis, Decapitated, Witch Club Satan, HammerFall, Hypocrisy, The Halo Effect, Tortured Demon, Gutalax, Humanity’s Last Breath and Conan.

Dool, Pig Destroyer and Fulci complete the first group of 27 announced artists. Bloodstock says around 100 further bands are still to be revealed.

The original announcement also outlined ticket plans for 2027. Early-bird standard weekend tickets were priced at £210 with no booking fee when bought from the festival’s main entrance box office during Bloodstock 2026. The festival said the subsequent price would be £235 plus booking fee, with general sales scheduled to begin on 10 August 2026.

Wednesday early access, child tickets and coach packages were also included in the ticket plans, while the instalment scheme, VIP tickets and campervan tickets were scheduled to go on sale on 12 August 2026.

Bloodstock 2027 takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire, from 5–8 August 2027.
