Nickelback release new single ‘Leave Me Behind’ from upcoming album Everything Under The Sun
Nickelback share new single “Leave Me Behind”, the latest track from upcoming album Everything Under The Sun, due October 30, 2026.
Nickelback have released their new single “Leave Me Behind”, the third track shared from the band’s forthcoming studio album Everything Under The Sun.
The album is due to arrive on October 30, 2026 via Virgin Music Group. “Leave Me Behind” follows the previously released “Bones For The Crows” and “Rattle The Cage”, the latter featuring guitarist John 5.
While “Rattle The Cage” put the emphasis on heavier guitars and riffs, “Leave Me Behind” takes a more reflective direction. The song centres on supporting someone through a difficult period while also confronting the fear of being left behind in the process.
“There’s a lot of weight in this song, but there’s also a lot of hope,” says Chad Kroeger. “It’s about being there for someone when they’re dealing with the things that have broken them down – picking up the pieces, taking some of that weight off their shoulders, and reminding them they don’t have to go through it alone. At the same time, there’s that feeling of not wanting to be left behind. We liked that tension. It makes the song feel really personal.”
Everything Under The Sun will be Nickelback’s first release with Virgin Music Group. The new material follows the band’s 2022 album Get Rollin’ and comes after the release of the documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback and the subsequent Get Rollin’ World Tour.
Everything Under The Sun is released on October 30, 2026.
