Patina Guitars expands range with P90 offsets and its first bass models

Patina Guitars has launched new P90-equipped PJ-3 and PJ-6 offset guitars, alongside its first bass models, with prices starting at £535.

Patina Guitars has expanded its instrument range with two new P90-equipped offset electrics, its first bass guitars and additional finishes for several existing models.

The new PJ-3 and PJ-6 electric guitars both feature lightweight Paulownia bodies, nitrocellulose finishes, satin roasted maple necks, rosewood fingerboards and stainless steel jumbo frets. Electronics come in the form of two custom-wound Alnico V P90 pickups, while both models use a vintage-style offset tremolo system.

The PJ-3 is the non-relic version of the design and carries an RRP of £535. It is available in Candy Apple Red and Purple Pearl.

Priced at £589 RRP, the PJ-6 features Patina’s aged finish treatment and comes in Oxblood Relic and Sherwood Green Relic.

The company is also moving into bass guitars for the first time with the PPB-3 and PPJB-3.

The PPB-3 uses a P-style layout with a split-coil pickup and is offered in Charcoal and Fiesta Red. The PPJB-3 adds a bridge single-coil alongside its split-coil pickup and is available in Lake Placid Blue and Olympic White. Both basses have an RRP of £719.

Elsewhere in the range, existing Patina PS models are now available in Fiesta Red and Silver, priced at £519 RRP.

Lee Alexander of Patina Guitars said:

“Patina has had a fantastic response since launch, and a big part of that is simply what players are getting for the money. That combination of nitro finishes, roasted maple necks, stainless steel frets and custom-wound pickups on guitars starting at £535 is exactly what Patina is about. We wanted the specification to feel genuinely exciting rather than simply competitive at the price.

The PJ models are some of the coolest guitars we’ve added so far. They bring a completely different look and P90 voice to the range, while the new basses take the same Patina idea into another category for the first time. The brief remains simple: vintage soul, modern spec and real-world pricing.”

Patina says the new models and finishes are available now through its dealer network.
