Green Lung release ‘Black Magick Radio’ ahead of new album ‘Necropolitan’

Green Lung have released new single ‘Black Magick Radio’ ahead of their fourth album ‘Necropolitan’, due September 11, 2026.

Green Lung have released “Black Magick Radio”, the latest track from their forthcoming fourth studio album Necropolitan.

The London heavy rock band will release Necropolitan on September 11, 2026, with “Black Magick Radio” accompanied by a video directed by Billy Howard Price.

Drawing inspiration from pirate radio and the history of occult rock, the song also references locations and movements connected with London’s counterculture, including Soho café Le Macabre and the Process Church of the Final Judgement.

Green Lung describe the track as a tribute to the music that helped shape the band.

“‘Black Magick Radio’ is our love letter to occult rock itself, and a promise to spread its gospel as widely as we possibly can. All together now… Eko Eko Azarak, Eko Eko Zomelak…”

The accompanying video takes the song’s occult-radio concept into suburbia, depicting a family coming under the influence of its mysterious broadcast.

Necropolitan was recorded at Rockfield Studios in January 2026 with producer Tom Dalgety, whose previous credits include Opeth and Ghost. Dalgety handled both recording and mixing, while the band opted for a more stripped-back approach to the sessions, recording much of the material live.

The nine-track album follows Green Lung’s This Heathen Land, released in 2023, and continues the group’s interest in British folklore, occult history and traditional heavy rock.

Alongside the album release, Green Lung have announced a short run of UK record-store signing events. The appearances begin at Rough Trade East in London on release day, followed by stops in Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
