Fire in the Mountains has revealed the first names for its 2027 edition, with Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Nevermore and Russian Circles heading to Red Eagle Campground.

Fire in the Mountains has announced the first wave of artists for its 2027 edition, with Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Nevermore and Russian Circles among the names confirmed.

The festival will return to Red Eagle Campground in the Blackfeet Nation from July 22–25, 2027.

Also announced in the first line-up reveal are Stormkeep, Invunche, Rwake and Buffalo Nichols. Organisers say tickets, including camping options, are now on sale.

Festival organisers said:

“While we are still processing the immense experience that was Fire In The Mountains 2026 at Red Eagle Campground, we are excited to peel back some of what we have been working on for 2027, which has revealed itself as the Year Of The Eagle. We have quite a special edition in the works for this coming year, featuring bands with a legendary command of soundscapes and artistry, to returning fast riffing metal legends, post metal icons, symphonic black metal rippers, musical purveyors of Chilean mythology, American sludge darkness, and blues laden storytelling. We already look forward to joining you once again at the Backbone of The World next Summer— and cannot WAIT to share what else we have in store.”

Fire in the Mountains combines an open-air heavy music festival with cultural programming and activities connected to its setting in the Blackfeet Nation.

The event works in partnership with the Firekeeper Alliance, described by organisers as a 501(c)(3) organisation focused on suicide reduction and mental wellness within the Blackfeet Nation. The festival also places an emphasis on mental health awareness across Indigenous, music and artistic communities.

Further additions to the 2027 line-up are expected to be announced at a later date.
