Tony Iommi announces new album From The Dark, out October 23 via BMG, and shares new single ‘World Alone’ with its official video.
Tony Iommi will release his new album From The Dark on October 23 through BMG, with new single ‘World Alone’ available now alongside its official video.
The eight-track album features vocalist Jorn Lande throughout, with Lande sharing writing credits on every song. Bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil also appear on the record, which was co-produced by Iommi and his long-time collaborator Mike Exeter.
‘World Alone’ was premiered during a global streaming event in Iommi’s hometown of Birmingham. The track is accompanied by a video set in a retro-futuristic dystopian world, following a character known as The Believer as he is drawn into a dangerous video game.
Iommi said of the album: “It’s an album we’ve really enjoyed making. We’re not trying to prove anything – it’s a great album, it rocks!”

A deluxe CD edition will add two bonus tracks, ‘Scent Of Dark’ and ‘Deified’.
From The Dark will be released across digital, CD and vinyl formats, including several double-vinyl editions and a 32-page deluxe CD media book. A limited-edition 7-inch version of ‘World Alone’, backed with an instrumental version of the track, is also due for release on September 4.
